DubLi Update From John Cini: Sept. Schedule & Upcoming Excitement

September 21, 2009

There are only important details in this message, so please pay close attention.

Since tonight’s meeting was canceled by the upline, I am stepping in and doing it in case you’ve got guests already invited.  Unfortunately, the upline changes the schedule without much notice to us, or at least enough time to spread the word.  Our full webcast schedule is at

Along the same lines, we’ve had our Tuesday webcast on the schedule for weeks, but now there’s a conflict with another meeting.  Regardless, we will still have our 9pm Eastern webcast Tuesday this week.  We will also have our Wed. night webcast.  We really don’t have any choice because of our inviting tournament, since the results are based on the Tue. & Wed. guest count.  So fill them up!

If you haven’t been on our webcast in a while, come take a look – we’ve updated it substantially, to show PROOF that customers are buying credits, reps are getting paid on customers, and lots of people are getting great bargains on the auction site!

The Scoreboard ( is updated again.  We only have 4 webcasts (2 Tues. & 2 Wed.) to tally big numbers for the inviting contest.  The inviting numbers aren’t spectacular, so anyone who puts a lot of guests on the webcasts this week and next can easily win the whole thing.

If you’re in the Sep. ad co-op and you haven’t requested your 250 free biz leads, I’d do that immediately.  The leads are dated Aug. 4, 2009, with a timestamp, so they appear to be fresh.  I got my list and dialed a big number of them and had 100% bad fone numbers, so there may be a little problem with them (has anyone else had this problem?), but get yours and see for yourself.  On my blog’s Sep. 8 post (, I already gave you a simple way to quickly connect with sharp people on the list who are still looking for the right business.

We have lots of great things about to pop, which will help us continue to distance ourselves from any possible networking and/or auction competitors:

  • North American Support Center will open any day now.  I don’t have the date, but as I said in a previous post, if it’s anytime before the end of the year, that’s fine with me.  The target date was Sep. 1, so hopefully it’ll be soon.
  • We will also have the North Am. payment platform in place soon.  Last month I was told the deal was done and it was just a matter of setting it up – we’ll see how long that takes, but again, anytime before the end of year …
  • I expect very good news about the annual renewal process to be announced soon.  I can’t give any details and can’t make any promises, but I expect good things here.  (As I mentioned before, I wouldn’t waste time worrying about this topic.)
  • The global auction will be in place in the next few months.  This has already generated a huge buzz of interest Down Unda in Aus/NZ, with several blowout live meetings for the “official launch” there.
  • With Cinch, Partner Programs, and more focus on our awesome auctions, we’re getting a lot more completed auctions now, as many of you have noticed.  The number of “Unique Bid” auctions are fixed, currently at just 4 per day, but the Xpress auctions are completed when people decide to buy, and the average number of daily Xpress purchases has increased dramatically over the last few months (doubling).  So that’s proof for us that more people are using the auctions.

If we’ve learned anything, it’s not to tell people specific dates for things to happen.  I know the company has said “Nov. 1” for the global auction launch, but why set people up for disappointment?  Just say, “It’s targeted for the end of the year, or beginning of 2010” – then there’s no “non-delivery disappointment” that we’ve been thru before.  The global auction launch is a massive undertaking, with many, many, many tuff obstacles to overcome, such as languages, currency conversion, shipping arrangements, vendor relationships, governmental tripwires, and on and on.  If it takes a few extra months to get it all working, that’s OK.  And at the same time, if you tell everyone 2010 and DubLi meets their own “Nov. 1, 2009” launch date, DubLi will look SUPER-FAST and everyone will be happy.

Congratulations to everyone who came out last week to our first live event here in DC.  We had a fantastic turnout for that, squeezing nearly 50 people into Jim McCarron’s mortgage office.  It was a great night – I’ll have more about it later.

Hope you’re having a great Sept. – FINISH STRONG!
